Even without an expensive arrow cutoff saw, its possible to achieve professional-grade cuts using only: A high-speed benchtop miter saw or mini abrasive saw (sometimes known as a cut-off saw or chop saw) A 2 x 1/32 x 3/8 or 2 x 1/16 x 3/8 cutting disc. A ruler or tape measure.
Use only a high-speed, abrasive wheel cutoff saw specifically designed for cutting arrow shafts. Use of any other method could result in damage to the shaft. It is recommended that your arrow shaft be cut at least one inch in front of the arrow rest at full draw.

I have found an easy and economical way to cut carbon arrow shafts using a hacksaw blade. To get the perfect cut, drag the blade backwards, but dont move it forward.

Another thing to think about is when you do this you dont want to put any pressure on the arrow shaft itself this is going to cause the arrow to flex. Youre not going to get a true cut.
In some cases, however, you may need to cut them before use. The right arrow length can influence your archery performance: too long or too short can throw off your accuracy, affecting both trajectory and consistency. Cutting arrows isnt complicated, but it needs to be done properly.
It is recommended that your arrow shaft be cut at least one inch in front of the arrow rest at full draw.
The best safety practice is to make sure your arrows sit at least 1 beyond your arrow rest when the bow is at full draw. A little bit of extra arrow length gives the arrows an important margin of safety. A little too long is okay. A little too short is not.
