The best approach is to use tools specifically designed for cutting carbon arrows, such as an arrow saw, rotary cutter, Dremel, or pipe cutter.

Another thing to think about is when you do this you dont want to put any pressure on the arrow shaft itself this is going to cause the arrow to flex. Youre not going to get a true cut.
I have found an easy and economical way to cut carbon arrow shafts using a hacksaw blade. To get the perfect cut, drag the blade backwards, but dont move it forward.
Even without an expensive arrow cutoff saw, its possible to achieve professional-grade cuts using only: A high-speed benchtop miter saw or mini abrasive saw (sometimes known as a cut-off saw or chop saw) A 2 x 1/32 x 3/8 or 2 x 1/16 x 3/8 cutting disc. A ruler or tape measure.
Arrows that are cut too short can be drawn past the arrow rest which could result in the arrow falling from the string, jamming, or otherwise causing damage to the arrow or the bow, and could even lead to personal injury. Never shoot an arrow that is less than one inch past the arrow rest at full draw.

Use only a high-speed, abrasive wheel cutoff saw specifically designed for cutting arrow shafts. Use of any other method could result in damage to the shaft. It is recommended that your arrow shaft be cut at least one inch in front of the arrow rest at full draw.
