hi its dan kraus and i want to talk today about how you can do a free will for yourself so last will and testament it is a wisconsin will it will work in all 50 states but it is a will thats created by the wisconsin legislature before we get into that though i want to just tell you that my name is dan kraus i am a licensed attorney i practice in wisconsin im also licensed in illinois and minnesota and today i want to talk about a free will well the wisconsin legislature in the 1970s decided that it was a good idea to draft a will for people that they can use and fill in the blanks so its not very useful when you take it out of the the statute books because it has all the other statutes around it and you cant really fill it in very well so i took the statutory form and i put it on a pdf so that anybody can use it and it looks like a will it looks more like a will and its free and i will give you a link so that you can download these two wills theres two of them theyre both they

In short, no a Codicil to a Will does not have to be docHubd. However, laws and requirements vary from Province to Province. A Codicil does have to be signed in front of at least two witnesses who are not listed as beneficiaries, guardians, or executors in your Will.
Proper execution: You must execute a Codicil with the same formalities as a Will (i.e., it must be in writing, signed, and witnessed by two or more competent witnesses who are present at the same time).

Sign and date the codicil or new will in the presence of at least two adult witnesses who are not beneficiaries of the will. Witnesses must also sign and date the document to confirm its authenticity. Once you complete this step, your codicil or new will is legally binding.
I, [name], a resident of the County of [county], State of [state], declare that this is the codicil to my last will and testament, which is dated [date original signed]. I add or change said last will in the following manner: [List all specific changes or additions to the original will.
Like a will, a codicil must be witnessed by two or more people, unless it is entirely in the persons own handwriting and is signed and dated by that person (a holograph codicil).
Handwritten codicils to wills are accepted and considered legal in Alberta if properly executed. The same as another codicils, handwritten codicils must be formally and clearly dated and signed to be legally binding. However, handwritten codicils like holographic wills, are not recommended.
