hey guys my name is jason with s j forest products and on this video im going to show you how i buck my logs so were standing here on a big western hemlock that blew over theres the stump and that stuffs probably 10 or 12 feet high pan over theres my skidder for scale so its even its even higher than the top of my skidder and it blew over in this last winter storm i tried to get it cleaned out a little bit out of the brush so you can see it but uh the brush is about to overtake it you can see well walk down this log here but you can see that its still green or barely green at the very top here and these hemlocks dont last very long once they get blown down they start to rot away pretty quick and the the fungus gets in them and and you know the woods no good anymore so im out here in the spring im going to be cleaning up the blow down that i can scavenge out of here and try and get a load to the mill but you can see here theres theres still some green on it so its a its
