to create a cut line around a graphic in Adobe Illustrator to prepare for print and cut operations on a rollin versa cam or vs. studio I will start off with a vector graphic that can be verified as a vector by going to view an outline which is also control Y for a shortcut and I can see the entire graphic in the outline and all the different vector objects within it I'll go back to view and preview to see the graphic normally we'll go to our layers docker which if these Dockers are not available to you you can go to window and check on the different docker that you want to be available under the layered docker I'll select the layer and drag it down to the create new layer icon now I have two layers in here of the same graphic the first layer I'll rename as artwork the second layer I'll rename to cut line the artwork layer I will now lock and turn off so I don't see it in - in the active artboard the cut line layer I will now select all by going to select and all or using the shortcut...

To quit the vi editor without saving any changes you've made: If you are currently in insert or append mode, press Esc . Press : (colon). The cursor should reappear at the lower left corner of the screen beside a colon prompt. Enter the following: q!
Exit Without Saving Changes in Vi / Vim Switch to command mode by pressing the Esc key. Press : (colon) to open the prompt bar in the bottom left corner of the window. Type q! after the colon and hit Enter to exit without saving the changes.
Once you have selected, press the 'd' or 'y' key to cut or delete respectively. After copying/cutting text, Vim will switch back to Normal mode. Then, you can use the 'p' or 'P' key to paste after cursor or before the cursor, respectively.
You can copy a block of text by pressing Ctrl-v (or Ctrl-q if you use Ctrl-v for paste), then moving the cursor to select, and pressing y to yank. Now you can move elsewhere and press p to paste the text after the cursor (or P to paste before).
another way is to press Ctrl + c or ctrl + z command to exit the vi editor forcefully. press ZZ (shift+z+z). it will save and exit. Ctrl + [ will also work like escape key.
Note that pressing L seems to do pretty much the same thing. The file will be saved but remains opened in Vi/Vim for more editing or reading. We can now exit normally by typing ESC :q! since the file is still opened as read-only.
On Ubuntu and many other Linux distributions, you can use Ctrl+Insert or Ctrl+shift+C for copying text and Shift+Insert or Ctrl+shift+V for pasting text in the terminal.
To yank one line, position the cursor anywhere on the line and type yy . Now move the cursor to the line above where you want the yanked line to be put (copied), and type p . A copy of the yanked line will appear in a new line below the cursor.
Shortcuts: Instead of Left arrow, left, left, left, use CTRL+A to go to the start of the line or Alt+B to move back one word. Instead of Right arrow, right, right, right, use CTRL+E to move to the end of the line, or Alt+F to move forward a word.
Try it! Cut. Select Cut. or press Ctrl + X. Paste. Select Paste. or press Ctrl + V. Note: Paste only uses your most recently copied or cut item. Copy. Select Copy. or press Ctrl + C.
