Do: Include career gaps in your CV. Being vague can be a red flag in the shortlisting process. Dont write in paragraphs. Keep your CV as short as possible. Think carefully before taking a risk. Work with a recruitment partner. Tailor your CV.
Again, no space is required before or after the slash. However, on a CV, a slash is sometimes used between two important terms, such as job titles (e.g. business analyst/project manager).
Certain personal details are unnecessary to put on your resume and could even send the wrong message. Leave these 12 things off of your resume.Dont include: Your marital status. Sexual orientation. Religious or political affiliations. Social security number. Anything else that a prospective employer cant ask about.
So even if you have more experience than you can fit on two pages, you should distill your information down to the most relevant data. Slash words and consider omitting one or two of your earliest jobs or condense your descriptions of your responsibilities in each role.
Here are six easy ways to shorten your resume and make it stand out: List contact information that is useful, not just for formality sake. Keep your objective statement objective and short. Focus on accomplishments, not job descriptions. Use bullet points. Show me the numbers. Dont mention Microsoft Office.
Resume Line Spacing and Margins The typical line spacing for a resume is anywhere between single and 1.5-point spacing. If you dont have a lot of experience to highlight, you may wish to use 1.5-point spacing to fill the page and avoid leaving blank space.
The CV should be professional and should include your important data. Dont include the following information. These things are not necessary: age; ethnic identity; political affiliation; religious preference; hobbies; marital status; sexual orientation; place of birth; photographs; height; weight and health.
Place the cursor in the spot where you want to add a line. Click on Home (located in the upper left-hand corner). Look in the Paragraph section and click the down arrow next to the Borders button. Click on Horizontal Line.
