In your PowerPoint presentation, select the Insert tab. Click Screenshot. A drop down menu will appear with the option to take a screenshot of a window open on your desktop, or take a screen clipping of only a portion of your screen. Select the option that suits your need.
You can capture screenshots using the Snipping Tool and insert them into Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other Office programs. The Snipping Tool is a utility program or accessory in Windows so it's free and has already been installed with Windows.
The cut command removes the selected data from its original position, while the copy command creates a duplicate; in both cases the selected data is kept in temporary storage (the clipboard). The data from the clipboard is later inserted wherever a paste command is issued.
After you cut the text, it gets stored in the clipboard. If you want to cut any text or word from a document, it is advisable to highlight the word first. To cut, Right Click → Cut. The shortcut key is "Ctrl + X".
Under Picture Tools, on the Format tab, in the Adjust group, select Remove Background. Click one of the handles on the marquee lines and then drag the line so that it contains the portion of the picture that you wish to keep, and excludes most of the areas you wish to remove.
PowerPoint will automatically select the part of the image to be kept. Adjust the selection to cover the area of the image that you want to keep. On the Background Removal Tool tab, click Mark Areas to Remove and select any other area that you want to remove. When you're finished, click Keep Changes.
Once the image appears on your slide, click it and select the Format picture tab. Click on the Crop option and go to Crop to shape. The selected shape will mask your image. To adjust your shape, click and drag the colored handles.
Highlight the text that you wish to hide and select the “Font Color” icon from the Font section of the Ribbon. Change the color to the same color as the background of your slide. Your text will now be hidden.
