foreign and then I am using this rectangular Marquee tool to select certain portion for example is head and if I right click you will notice that this layer of higher cut free transform field stroke all these options are disabled the reason why these options are disabled is because this layer is a smart object okay and if you want to enable these options basically what you need to do is you need to rasterize this layer so let us deselect this using Ctrl d and then right click on this layer then click on rasterize layer once this layer is rasterized now if you select editing layer and then right click you can see that most of these options are now available including this layer wire cut so basically remember that only those layers that are rasterized these options will be enabled layer wire cut because when you are cutting out the portion of the photo you are destroying the pixels in that photo and destroying the pixels in a smart object is not allowed that is why we have to ras

The script Layer Via Copy creates a new layer from the selected portion of the current layer. If there is no active selection the script duplicates the current layer. The script Layer Via Cut cuts the selection and pastes it into a new layer (screenshot).
What makes it possible to select a layer by clicking the image is the Auto-Select setting for the Move tool. When the Move tool is selected, look in the options bar and see if Auto-Select Layer has become disabled. If so, enable it and try again. It might be that your layer is a smart object try to right-click on your layer and click rasterize layer after then you could cut the photo. be careful to duplicate your smart object layer because once you rasterize it it wont be a smart object again so be aware to have a copy of the original once.
