You look at it, and the footer is floating up there. Its not where you want it to be. Looking at it and going, what? Oh. It just doesnt look good, right? You can adjust the sub report in design view click on the sub report and change the size. otherwise you can change the Page Setup option to change the size of the report using right click on subreport and change the size by increase the left and right margins.
Drag the bottom of the section up or right-click on the section and select Fit to Section. If there are no fields in the section, right-click and select Suppress (No Drill-Down)
Go to Detail Section, Section Expert under this you have PAGING in this tab you can see one check box called vissible record, select that and give the number of record to be vissible.
If you want to resize a section, go to the Design view and you do that by clicking the Design tab, which is on the tab bar for the report. And then, I can hover my mouse pointer over the bottom border and in this case, Ill go down to the Details section and position my mouse pointer over its bottom border.
In the formula editor input this formula: len({Name of field}) * 75. This will set the width of the field to 75 times the number of characters in the field.
Suppress a report means hide the section when viewing or printing the report. This is important when you want to only hide a section under some conditions.
Solution In Design view, right-click the object and select Format.. For example: Format Subreport, Format Text Object, Format Graphic. In the Format Editor dialog box, click the Common tab. Unselect the Keep Object Together check box. Upon previewing the report, the blank page in the Report Header will be removed.
Click File Printer Setup Properties. Click Custom, and then click the Custom button. Enter the custom height and width of the paper. Click OK.
To delete a grouping, go to the Design tab. Right-click on the Group Header you wish to delete and click on Delete Group.
Answer: Right-click on the section name on the left and select Section Expert (or go to Report Section Expert and select the section on the left) Click the X+2 button across from Suppress (No Drill-Down) Enter the condition for when the section should be suppressed. Click Save and Close on the formula window.
