Hello Viewers, Welcome back to our YouTube Channel 3-D Parametric Solid Model Drawing. Dear Viewers, In this video you will learn that how to make a Cut Across Bend for creating the slot in Sheet Metal with help of Fold, Unfold and Extruded-Cut tools in SolidWorks 2017. Now, this is our simple sheet Metal model which is based on the 2-D sketch like this. and afterwords create a 3-D solid by using the Base Flange tool. Its sheet thickness is 1/32 inches. It will automatically create the bends on the corners of the sheet in a Solidworks sheet metal environment. Here you can see that I have kept the bend radius of the corner equal to the thickness of the sheet. Ok thats it. So, let us start the Tutorial. Now we will open the sheet by selecting one side bend using the Unfold tool. Ok, pick up the tool from here. It will ask you that at first the select the Fixed face. Now we will select this face. Ok. then next select the bend which you want to unfold. Here we have chosen this be

The blank holding force controls the folding of the tray blank into the mould cavity. In the forming process, the tray flange is flattened by applying high force on the material between the female mould and the blank holder.
Deep drawing is a sheet metal forming process in which a sheet metal blank is radially drawn into a forming die by the mechanical action of a punch. It is thus a shape transformation process with material retention. The process is considered "deep" drawing when the depth of the drawn part exceeds its diameter.
Cold Drawing Contrary to what some people believe, drawing typically isn't performed on heated metal. Instead, it's performed on room-temperature metal. Known as cold drawing, it's a highly effective metalworking process for manipulating the shape of metal.
F = Spdt, where F is the maximum punch force in pounds, S is the nominal tensile strength of the material being drawn (psi), d is the punch or cup diameter and t is the blank thickness. Thus, the force equals pressure times the cross-sectional area of the cup wall.
Metal drawing is a metalworking process by which metal is stretched and formed using tensile force. The process is typically performed cold, which is done to ensure accurate tolerances, better grain structure and surface finish, as well as improved material properties.
The pressure of fluid is acting radially on surface of blank during the process. The radial pressure of fluid is controlled by the blank holder pressure. As these two pressures are equal, the deformation of blank is uniform to get a required shape and also it prevents the blank failure during deformation.
Unlike extruded tubes and beams, cold drawn pieces must be pulled through the dies multiple times in order to reach their final shape; while extrusion simply forces metal through a die that matches the desired shape, draw molding requires each pass to gradually decrease in size until you reach your target.
Drawing and Deep Drawing The starting point is typically a disk or blank that gets deformed to take on a cup or bowl shape. If the depth of that bowl is greater than the radius of the initial blank – meaning the metal has been deformed a long way – the process is called deep drawing.
The cut sheet is essentially a report that is used during the installation of electrical equipment. Hence, a cut sheet of any electrical equipment provides sizes, ratings, capacities of the equipment, etc.
Drawing is a metalworking process that uses tensile forces to stretch (elongate) metal, glass, or plastic. As the metal is drawn (pulled), it stretches to become thinner, to achieve a desired shape and thickness.
