Hey whats up guys Anuj here and welcome to the DSAone course, in todays video we are going to talk about cutting a rod, about this problem. Basically you are given a rod, and the prices for various lengths of the rod. Suppose the rods length is 8 So the price for 1 length of the rod is given, price for length 2, 3, for 4, so you have to cut this rod of length 8 and there will be many different pieces. And you have to tell the maximum profit that can come from these pieces. How do you cut this 8 length rod so that the overall profit is maximum. Thats the problem. Basically you cut it like, 3+5, one length is 3 and the other is 5. So the profit from length 3 is 6, and from 5 is 11. The total profit from this will be 17. If you dont cut it anywhere then the profit will be 16. If you do four cuts of length 2, then 5*4, the profit will be 20. If you want you do one length of 6 and a piece of 2, so the profit, 12+5, will be 17. You can keep two pieces of length 3, itll be 12 plus what
