we are going to show you how to cut paste files from one folder to another on a Mac so I have got a file and a folder in my source folder and my destination folder is empty you can see both of them on the desktop I also have my keyboard viewer open so you can see the keys being pressed on screen you can open up the keyboard viewer from the languages menu on the top Iamp;#39;ll just close the viewer and open it again for [Applause] you there you go now I will select the folder and the file in my source folder to select multiple files you can keep the command key pressed like that uh you might already be knowing that to copy files you have to press command plus C in the source folder and to paste it you need to press command plus v or you can right click and select paste two items Iamp;#39;ll press the keys now yeah so the files got copied but we have to move files not copy them so Iamp;#39;ll just delete the files I [Applause] copied all right uh so Iamp;#39;ll go back to the source

Cut, copy, paste and other common shortcuts Command-X: cut the selected item and copy it to the Clipboard. Command-C: copy the selected item to the Clipboard. Command-V: paste the contents of the Clipboard into the current document or app. Command-Z: undo the previous command. Command-A: Select All items.
Cut. Press Command-X on your keyboard to cut the selected item. Or choose Cut from the Edit menu in the menu bar.

If you cant cut, copy or paste When cut, copy or paste isnt possible, its menu item is dimmed so that you cant choose it or use its keyboard shortcut. For some items, such as files or folders, you may have the option to delete or move to the Bin, but not the option to cut.
Faster method of Cut and Paste: Select the item you want to Cut. Hold down the Command key (⌘) and press ( X ) Inside the location where you want to save the file, hold down the Command key (⌘) and press (V).
Cut. Press Command-X on your keyboard to cut the selected item. Or choose Cut from the Edit menu in the menu bar. Or Control-click (or right-click) the item you selected, then choose Cut from the shortcut menu.
As above, you need to first select the text or object you want to copy or cut. Then press Command + C to copy, or Command + X to cut. Put the cursor where you want to place the text/object, and paste by pressing Command + V.
