You will receive an email update when your decision has been returned to the Visa Application Centre. If you cant access email easily, or would like more detailed tracking information, you may also be able to get updates by SMS sent directly to your phone.
If denied a visa, in most cases the applicant is notified of the section of law which applies. Visa applicants are also advised by the consular officer if they may apply for a waiver of their ineligibility. Several of the most common reasons for visa ineligibilities are explained below.
If your application is rejected, the last page in your passport will be stamped Application Received with the date and location of the rejecting consulate. A consular officer will recognize this notation as meaning that some type of prior visa application has failed, and they will look closely into your application.
Change or cancel your application If you want to change something in your application after youve sent it contact UK Visas and Immigration ( UKVI ). You can ask to cancel your application. Your fee will only be refunded if UKVI has not started processing your application.
The consular officer who interviews you will tell you at the end of your interview if your case is being refused under 221(g). The consular officer will either tell you that the case has to undergo administrative processing, or will ask you to submit additional information.
