Hi this is Gary with MacMost.com. Lets take a look at using Styles in Pages. Using Pages, version 5 were going to take a look at Styles. Ive created a basic blank document here in Pages and we are going to look at how I can apply styles to different paragraphs. Let me add some text to this document. Then we want to look at the style for this text here. The way we do that is to hit the Format button here. This brings up the Inspector on the right side of the window. You have two modes for the Inspector; Format and Setup. So make sure you are in Format. Then you have the cursor there, you can see it blinking. It is going to show you information about the text that the cursor is in. It is going to show you the Style. You can select another style. There is a whole bunch of defaults. You can also then change very specific things about the style; say the font, the alignment, the line spacing, things like that. So to change the style lets first select an entire paragraph here. In the Format sidebar on the right, click the Style button near the top. Click the Bullets Lists pop-up menu near the bottom of the sidebar, then choose an option. Continue typing your list, separating each item with a paragraph break.
Tips: You can use a keyboard shortcut to create a bulleted list or a numbered list. To create a bulleted list, type * (asterisk), and then press Spacebar or the Tab key. To create a numbered list, type 1., and then press Spacebar or the Tab key.
Choose Edit Copy (from the Edit menu at the top of your screen), or press Command-C. Note: If you want to remove the text from its original location, choose Edit Cut instead.

#2 Assigning Keyboard Shortcuts for Bullets in Pages When you choose the bullet type, click on the small arrow at the end. Choose Shortcut option and select the function key for the bullet. After setup your shortcut, press Fn + F1 to F8 key to insert the corresponding bullet symbol.
Drag the handles on the shape to adjust its dimensions. You can also mask an image with your own drawn shape. Hold down the Shift key while you click the drawing and image, select Format Image Mask with Selection, then drag the handles on the drawing to adjust its dimensions.
