Right-click a row or column below or to the right of where you want to move or copy your selection, and then do one of the following: When you are moving rows or columns, click Insert Cut Cells. When you are copying rows or columns, click Insert Copied Cells.
Go to File Options Advanced. Under Cut, copy and paste, ensure the Show Paste Options button when content is pasted option is checked.
Select a cell or a cell range. Select Home Cut or press Ctrl + X. Select a cell where you want to move the data. Select Home Paste or press Ctrl + V.
One possible solution to the issue of the cut option being disabled in the right-click context menu in Excel is to check your Excel options. You can do this by clicking on the File tab, then clicking on Excel Options. From there, click on the Advanced tab and look for the Cut, copy, and paste section.
Check Excel Options: Open Excel. Go to File Options. In the Excel Options dialog, go to the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Cut, copy, and paste section.
Break a link On the Data tab, in the Connections group, click Edit Links. Note: The Edit Links command is unavailable if your file does not contain linked information. In the Source list, click the link that you want to break. Click Break Link.
You can do this by clicking on the File tab, then clicking on Excel Options. From there, click on the Advanced tab and look for the Cut, copy, and paste section. Make sure that the Show Insert Options buttons check box is selected.
How to remove links in Excel Navigate to the Data tab in the top banner. Find the Queries Connections group. Click Edit Links. Find the link you want to remove from the Source list. To select multiple links, hold the Crtl button on your keyboard and click each link you want to remove. Choose Break Link.
