hey everyone today im going to show you a formula that will give you the age of something or someone at any given point in time just remember its based on when i created the video so yours might look a little bit different but it will work depending on whenever you create the formula so for example if someone was born on the 2nd of march 1990 the age of that person would be 31 and if we change this date to say the 14th of november 2003 the age of the person would be 17. now im just going to quickly show you how to build this formula and ill also show you how to do it if we had an end date that wasnt today and you just want to see someones age or something at that point in time so very quickly ill just show you how the todays date formula works in excel its inbuilt so its really handy equals today open bracket close bracket you can see the current date is the 30th of august 2021 now if i build the formula all in one so we get the age of someone whose date of birth was 2003 ba

First put a start date in a cell, and an end date in another.Calculate age in accumulated years, months, and days Use DATEDIF to find the total years. Use DATEDIF again with ym to find months. Use a different formula to find days.
The formula to calculate a persons current age is: =YEARFRAC(B2, TODAY()), where B2 is the cell that contains that persons date of birth. You can obviously store the DOB in any cell you want.
Simply by subtracting the birth date from the current date. This conventional age formula can also be used in Excel. The first part of the formula (TODAY()-B2) returns the difference between the current date and date of birth is days, and then you divide that number by 365 to get the numbers of years.
=DATEDIF(B2,TODAY(),Y) (B2,TODAY(),Y) tells DATEDIF to calculate the difference between the date in cell B2 (the first birthday listed) and the current date ( TODAY() ). It outputs the calculation in years ( Y ). If youd rather see the age in days or months, use D or M instead.
Age = Given date - Date of birth. The steps to calculate a persons age from his date of birth to a given date are listed below. The first step is to take the difference between the years ( specified year - birth year). Note that a fully completed year is considered.
Excel Functions Used: DATEDIF() This function calculates the number of days, months, and years between two specified dates. TODAY() It gives the current date value. YEARFRAC() It takes the start date and the end date and gives you the number of years that have passed between the two dates.
Use the DATEDIF function when you want to calculate the difference between two dates. First put a start date in a cell, and an end date in another.
The method of calculating age involves the comparison of a persons date of birth with the date on which the age needs to be calculated. The date of birth is subtracted from the given date, which gives the age of the person. Age = Given date - Date of birth.
