Create a Smart Folder In the Finder on your Mac, choose File New Smart Folder. Specify the criteria. Click Save, then enter a name and location for your Smart Folder.
Select Safari in the menu bar at the top of the screen. When the drop-down menu appears, select Preferences. Select the Search tab at the top of the screen that opens to show Safaris Search preferences in two sections: Search engine and Smart Search Field.
Safari is its own app for web-browsing, and downloading articles from web-sites etc. Then click on a blank document, or click on any other kind of document style from those displayed. Hit the small create button on the bottom right, and your document appears.
You can create Smart Folders to organize notes by criteria you specify, such as tags, mentions, checklists, or the date a note was created or edited.
Deleting a Smart Folder doesnt delete the notes it references; they remain in their folders.
A folder is a regular container of files. A smart folder is basically a filter. It looks like a folder in the folders tree but it shows files based on the rules you set. For example you might want to show all the JPG files, greater than 1000x1000 pixels, having a specific tag.
You can create a Smart Folder that contains a list of files that have something in common. You specify the criteria for the items you want in the folder, such as the type of file, the date a file was opened, or the contents of a file.
