First lets login to our account, because well need to be logged in to manage our domains. Once logged in, well click on My Account on the top right, then My Domains in green in the first column. Next well click on Our Domain, then make sure were using name.com name servers for the domain since we can only manage our DNS records if using the default name servers. Then well click on DNS Records on the left side. So, lets say I wanted to point my domain to my Squarespace site. We have a couple DNS templates that make adding these records very simple. Click DNS templates, and then well see a drop-down where we can select our template. Well select Squarespace, and the system will populate the DNS records needed to point the domain to that service. For Squarespace, a verification key is required, and Squarespace can provide this to you. We

NS stands for nameserver, and the nameserver record indicates which DNS server is authoritative for that domain (i.e. which server contains the actual DNS records). Basically, NS records tell the Internet where to go to find out a domains IP address.
Locate the server where you want to add a zone, and right-click the server. Click Create DNS zone. The Create DNS Zone dialog box opens. In General Properties, select a zone category, a zone type , and enter a name in Zone name.
CNAME records are typically used to map a subdomain such as or mail to the domain hosting that subdomains content. For example, a CNAME record can map the web address .example.com to the actual web site for the domain example.com.
Step by step create a TXT record inside the zone file: Login to your DNS server as administrator. Launch the DNS Management Console. On DNS Manager window, expand your DNS name. Right click on your domain name and select Other New Records to add a new TXT record.
For example, an A Record is used to point a logical domain name, such as google.com, to the IP address of Googles hosting server, 74.125. 224.147. These records point traffic from example.com (indicated by @) and ftp.example.com to the IP address 66.147. 224.236.
How Do I Add a Record to the DNS? Start the DNS Manager (Start - Programs - Administrative Tools - DNS Manager). Double-click on the name of the DNS server to display the list of zones. Right-click on the domain and select New Record. Enter the name (e.g., TAZ) and enter IP address.
