Click anywhere on your slide, hold down your left mouse button and drag it to create a star large enough to cover the object you want to overlay. For example, if you want to overlay a heading, make the star large enough to surround the heading.
To add special formatting to the last row in a table, select Design Total Row. To alternate row or column colors and make tables easier to read, select Design Banded Rows or Design Banded Columns.
If you want to show your images in an appealing design, you can mask them to fit into a certain shape. On the Insert tab, click Pictures. Highlight the text that you wish to hide and select the Font Color icon from the Font section of the Ribbon. Change the color to the same color as the background of your slide. Your text will now be hidden.
