Hi, this is Gary with MacMost.com. On todayamp;#39;s episode letamp;#39;s look at a new feature in Pages that allows you to rearrange things in your document using Sections. So Apple recently released new versions of Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. There are a lot of small new features in these. Iamp;#39;m going to look at one today. Iamp;#39;m using Pages version 5.6 and Iamp;#39;m just going to create a new blank document. In the past I could certainly look at the page thumbnails here on the left and see what pages Iamp;#39;ve done but I couldnamp;#39;t really rearrange them. They are basically a way for me to jump from page to page. Now, with Pages 5.6, I can actually rearrange them in a way that you might do say if you were writing a story and you want to have sections that you rearrange or perhaps a script or perhaps notes for class. Things like that and you kind of want to rearrange sheets of paper. You can do that using Sections. So letamp;#39;s start off by just creating a

Choose a cover page and replace the sample text with your own. On the Insert tab, in the Pages group, click Cover Page. Click a cover page layout from the gallery of options.
To mask an image with a shape, click the image to select it, choose Format Image Mask With Shape, then choose a shape. Drag the handles on the shape to adjust its dimensions. You can also mask an image with your own drawn shape.
Click the disclosure arrow next to Border, then click the pop-up menu and choose a type of border (line or picture frame). To change the transparency, drag the Opacity slider. To lock the border so it doesnt get moved accidentally, click the Arrange tab at the top of the sidebar, then click Lock.
Add a cover page On the Insert tab, in the Pages group, click Cover Page. Click a cover page layout from the gallery of options. After you insert a cover page, you can replace the sample text with your own text by clicking to select an area of the cover page, such as the title, and typing your text.
Add pages to a document in Pages for iCloud In a word-processing document: Click to place the insertion point where you want the new page to appear, click the Insert button in the toolbar, then choose Page Break. In a page layout document: Click the Add Page button in the toolbar.
When you export your book, you can choose the type of cover you want for your book. The cover appears in the Library in the Books app, or as the icon on their computer. If you choose Choose an image, you can add a cover image from your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or PC.
Do one of the following: In a word-processing document: Place the insertion point where you want a new page to appear, click. in the toolbar, then choose Insert Page Break. In a page layout document: Click anywhere in the page you want the new page to follow, then click.
Show invisibles: Choose View Show Invisibles (from the View menu at the top of your screen). Note: The View button in the toolbar doesnt have this command. Hide invisibles: Choose View Hide Invisibles.
