I suggest restarting your home network and Kindle together as follows: Unplug the power adapter on your router and modem for two minutes. Reconnect the power to your modem first.
You can easily add a cover to the book via Tools Add cover. This allows you to either choose an existing image in the book as the cover or import a new image into the book and make it the cover. When editing EPUB files, the HTML wrapper for the cover is automatically generated.
Dont forget to save a copy as you go along! To change the cover of your book, go back to your calibre library. Right-click on the book. Then choose Edit metadata and Edit metadata individually. Edit the new title and author, and then click Generate Cover. (Make sure to click OK so you know its saved.)

How to update your cover Go to your Bookshelf. Next to the book you want to update, click the ellipsis button (). Choose Edit content. Scroll down to the Cover section. Choose Launch Cover Creator or Upload your cover file to update your cover or upload a cover you already have.
Click the ellipsis button () under the Paperback or Hardcover Actions menu and then click Edit Paperback Content or Edit Hardcover Content. Scroll down to Book Cover and click Launch Cover Creator. On the Get images for your cover window, select From My Computer and upload your JPEG cover file and click Next.
