Use the same applicator that was used to paint the last coat of paint on the wall that youre touching up. This helps the touched-up area blend with the surrounding surface. If you used a roller, use a roller again (a small-sized roller offers better control). If you used a brush, use a brush again.
If the damage to walls is small and contained or the paint is less than a year old, you should be able to just touch up the small area rather than repainting the whole wall. Small flaws include: Nicks, scratches, dings, chips, scuffs, or marks. Flaws that are not highly visible.
Use a Tennis Ball: Gently rubbing a tennis ball on the scuff can get rid of the mark on the wall. Wash the Wall: Use a soft cloth with soap and water to try and wipe the scuff off. You could also try making a baking soda solution by mixing 4 tablespoons of baking soda into a quart of water.
A paste of baking soda and water (mix the parts until theyre the consistency of toothpaste) is mildly abrasive, so it gently buffs away surface scuffs when you rub it on the wall in circular motions with a cloth. When youve successfully banished the scuff, wipe away the leftover bits with a clean, damp cloth.
Apply a small amount of polish to the scuffed area and use a soft cloth or a shoe brush to spread it evenly. Allow the polish to dry, then buff it with a clean cloth to achieve a polished finish. The polish will cover up the scuff and provide a layer of protection for the leather.
Obviously, nothing could be done about the torn-up section, but rubbing some of the nail polish remover over it did sort of smooth it out and remove the black scuffing around it, making it less noticeable. There is no need for shoe polish and do not waste your time with soap and water.
You can use everyday household items like whitening toothpaste, olive oil, or baking soda to remove minor scratches from stainless steel. Apply them to the scratches, rub gently with the grain, and then wipe clean. Repeat the process if necessary.
