For Stains You can also try using a magic eraser sponge in addition to the regular cleaning process. If you decide to go this route, be sure to test a small, less noticeable patch of patent leather first, as certain variations can lose their finish with anything more aggressive than a soft cloth.
A pencil eraser works great for simple scuffs because the eraser itself is soft enough that it wont damage the leather. Apply moderate pressure and work the eraser across the scuff to remove the added material.

Just squeeze a pea-sized amount of toothpaste onto a soft, clean cloth and rub it into the scratch or scuff mark. Rub in a circular motion until the blemish disappears, then buff the area with a clean, dry cloth.
If conditioning alone doesnt eliminate the scuffs, polishing may be able to finish the job. Whereas conditioner focuses on maintaining leathers softness and texture, polishing is more focused on leathers appearance. It adds a shine to the outside surface. For fixing scuffs, use a colored polish.
Take a microfiber cloth and wipe off any dust, says Mesquita. Use another microfiber cloth dampened with water to gently wipe down your patent leather. For added shine and to buff out markings, gently apply a patent leather cleaner (Mesquita recommends Moneysworth and Best Patent Leather Care).
Nail polish remover or Rubbing Alcohol works!. Apply a little nail polish remover or Rubbing Alcohol to a cotton ball to polish out the scuff marks. Then, apply baby powder or petroleum jelly, like Vaseline, to protect the shoes material. This method works well for Patent Leather.
Apply a small amount of polish to the scuffed area and use a soft cloth or a shoe brush to spread it evenly. Allow the polish to dry, then buff it with a clean cloth to achieve a polished finish. The polish will cover up the scuff and provide a layer of protection for the leather.
