On the Insert tab, in the Pages group, click Cover Page. Click a cover page layout from the gallery of options. After you insert a cover page, you can replace the sample text with your own text by clicking to select an area of the cover page, such as the title, and typing your text.
Right-click on the printer and select Printer Properties to display the print driver Properties window. Click on Preferences near the bottom, left of the window. Click on the green Earth Smart button at the bottom, left of the window. Click to enable or disable the Banner Page option.
You can print the document with or without the hidden text. Go to File Options. In the Word Options dialog box, go to the left panel and select Display. In the Printing options section, select the Print hidden text check box to print the document including the hidden text. Select OK.
To Print Cover Pages Open the file to be printed. Select File Print. Select the required printer, and then click on Printing Properties or Preferences. Click on the Document Options tab. Click on the Special Pages tab. Click on the Add Covers icon. Select one of these options for printing cover pages:
Press the Menu button to access the printer defaults settings. Press the Menu button to access the startup page settings. Press the Select button to disable printing of the startup page. To return to the top level of the menu, press the button until the printer displays the Ready message.
Printing from an Application Windows users can disable the banner page on a particular printer through the Start -- Devices and Printers Control Panel. Linux users can use the xpp utility to disable the banner page on a particular printer.
To enable or disable the banner page: From a computer (on the same network as the printer) open a Web browser. In the Web browser address field, enter the IP address of the printer and then press Enter or Return. Click Properties. Click Services. Click Printing. Click Banner Page. Select Enabled or Disabled.
Enable or Disable Banner Pages Printing from the Print Driver: Select File from the application menu. Select Print. Select the printer. Select Properties. Select Advanced. Depending on the printer driver: Click to Enable or Disable the Banner Page option. Click OK to save the changes.
