How to redact a PDF on a Mac using Preview. Open your PDF in Preview. Click the Markup icon on the top right. Click the Redact button on the top left. It looks like a filled in square. Read the reminder in the dialog box, save a copy of your PDF, and click OK. Select your text to have it automatically redacted.
If you dont want to follow these steps, you can move to the part where you can remove the unnecessary text by tapping the right-click. A tab menu will appear, providing you with a Delete icon. By clicking on the delete icon, you easily remove the selected text from the PDF document. Thats it.
5 Quick Steps for Redacting PDF Documents Open the PDF file with data you must censor. Select the Security tab from the main ribbon. Click Mark Redaction. Select the text you wish to redact, which places a red border around the text. Click Apply Redaction on the Security ribbon to black out the text.
Hide Text on PDF by Annotation Select a rectangle and select the text that you want to hide. A rectangle will cover the text, you can change the fill color of the rectangle to make the text invisible. You can also adjust the transparency of the fill color to blur out text on PDF.
On your Mac, use the Advanced options in Privacy Security settings to adjust the security settings of your Mac. To change these settings, choose Apple menu System settings, click Privacy Security in the sidebar, then click Advanced on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)
How do I redact in docHub Pro? Choose Tools Redact. On the Edit menu, choose Redact Text Images. Select the text or image in a PDF, right-click, and select Redact. Select the text or image in a PDF, and choose Redact in the floating context-menu.
Here are some things you can do to make your Mac more secure. Use secure passwords. Create passkeys. Require users to log in. Secure your Mac when its idle. Limit the number of administrative users. Protect the encrypted data on your Mac with FileVault.
Using your mouse cursor, highlight the text you want to redact. A temporary red redaction box appears to let you confirm the text you wish to obscure. Click Apply Redaction, then be sure to save a copy of the document. The text is now permanently obscured.
