Using the shortcut: Ctrl+K Ctrl+C to comment out a line of html code in Contact. aspx, the contents of a related stlye sheet changes even though it is checked in! Im attaching an example of the css file before commenting out the code in Contact.
If you want to quickly comment one or more lines of code, you can press Ctrl + K, C .
string ConnStr = DataSource=add your server name; Initial Catalog=demoSampleDB;User Id=;Password=;; SqlConnection con = newSqlConnection(ConnStr); SqlCommand cmd = newSqlCommand(insert into Comments(Name,Email,Comment) values(+name.Text+ , + email.Text + , +comment.InnerText.Trim() + ), con);
Single-line comments start with two forward slashes ( // ). Any text between // and the end of the line is ignored by C# (will not be executed).
Active Server Pages uses the quote character () to define comments. This comment is a line comment meaning that it will comment out everything following it up until the end of the line. There is no multi line comment in ASP. In order to comment multiple lines, each line must be preceded by a quote ().
Code comments - // and /* . */ The single line comment can appear after executable code on the same line. The comment ends at the end of the text line: return source++; // increment the source. Some comments start with three slashes: /// .
To create a comment in ASP you simply place an apostrophe in front of what you want commented out. The most common practice is to place the apostrophe at the beginning of the line of text like we have in the following example.
Ctrl + K + C : Comment out the selected code. Ctrl + K + U : Uncomment the selected code. Ctrl + / : Toggle line comments.
You can quickly comment out one or more lines of code by inserting the leading characters // at the beginning of the line. To do so, select the line (or lines) of code you want to comment out and press CTRL+/ (slash).
Outlining and Comments in Feature Files You can comment and uncomment selected lines (# character) with the default shortcut for comments (Ctrl+K Ctrl+C/Ctrl+K Ctrl+U) or from the menu. You can use the options in the Edit | Outlining menu to expand and contract sections of your feature files.
