hi there here is a fridge thermostat and most of the thermostats have adjustment screws some are located in different areas this one the thermostat right now is how it was sitting inside the fridge and the adjustment screw is right there so when you turn that adjustment screw clockwise it gets warmer if you turn it counterclockwise it will then get colder so i guess it makes a difference when you buy these thermostats because theyamp;#39;re multi-purpose for either a fridge or a freezer when i bought mine mine was essentially in a freezer setting so i had to adjust my screw about a turn and a half complete turns clockwise to get it warmer so that it wouldnamp;#39;t freeze everything inside the fridge so um when you buy the fridge from a store itamp;#39;s already adjusted for you but when you just buy the thermostat this is the old one iamp;#39;m just looking at for an example when you buy just the thermostat more than likely youamp;#39;re going to have to adjust that screw so hope
