Find your desired Blur effect. From the top menu, click Filter Blur. Select the type of blur you want and make any adjustments in the pop-up menu. Click OK and the blur will be applied to the selected portion of the image.
Soften certain areas and draw focus to your subject by applying blur with your favorite brush. Select the Blur tool in Photoshop, choose a brush tip and strength, and drag it over the spots you want to blur.
To create a Quick Mask, you can press the Q key. To create vector masks, you can press Command + Click the Add Layer mask button at the bottom of the layer palette. Active paths will then create masks.
Go to Filter Blur and choose the type of blur you want. A dialog box will appear, allowing you to adjust the amount of blur you want to apply.
To do this, navigate to Tools and select Redact Redact Text Images Find Text Redact. This makes it easy to identify and then black out that content throughout the document. You can also specify general patterns, such as phone, Social Security, or credit card numbers.
Ctrl (Windows) or Command (macOS) + click on the thumbnail of the text in the Layers panel for the text from Step 2 to load the selection. Select the smaller text layer. Click the Layer Mask icon (third from the left at the bottom of the Layers panel) to mask out the rest of the text.
Another option for obscuring sensitive information is to go to Filter Pixelate Mosaic. If you want to blur your entire image, skip the first two steps and just go straight to the Filter option and select the type of blur you want to apply.
Open the primary image where your overlay will be applied. Open your selected overlay by going to Select File Open. Resize your selected overlay to match your primary image by going to Image Image Size. Copy and paste your overlay onto your image by going to Select All, then go to Edit Copy.
