As mentioned, the Dow Jones, SP 500, and Nasdaq Composite are three popular U.S. indexes.
An index is a list of all the names, subjects and ideas in a piece of written work, designed to help readers quickly find where they are discussed in the text. Usually found at the end of the text, an index doesnt just list the content (thats what a table of contents is for), it analyses it.
Click where you want to add the index. Go to References Insert Index. In the Index dialog box, you can choose the format for text entries, page numbers, tabs, and leader characters.
An index is found at the back of a book. It alphabetically lists all the major topics, events, people, and places discussed in the book and provides page numbers that direct you to each reference. Indexes can get quite specific and often run for several pages. A table of contents isnt quite as detailed as an index.
Definition. Text indexing is the act of processing a text in order to extract statistics considered important for representing the information available and/or to allow fast search on its content.
An index is essentially a roadmap to the book, listing names, places, and things in alphabetical order and giving the page numbers associated with each topic. For nonfiction books, packed with valuable information, a well-made index can help quickly direct the reader to the information theyre trying to find.
Look through your document and locate the index entry you want to delete. If you want, you can use Find and Replace to locate the desired index entry. Select the entire field, including the field braces, and press Del. The index entry is deleted.
To create a text index in MongoDB, use the createIndex() method and specify the field(s) to be indexed with the text type. This allows you to perform full-text searches on the indexed fields. You can index multiple fields in a single text index.
