Whereas the 14-inch model is capable of handling some demanding workloads, the 13-inch model is only suited to light productivity tasks. While both laptops offer the same Intel Ultra Core processors under the hood, Dells cooling solution for the XPS 13 is inadequate, resulting in docHub thermal throttling.
The main difference is that the XPS 13 is a more compact ultraportable designed for light productivity tasks, while the XPS 15 is a larger mobile workstation with a much more powerful H-series CPU and NVIDIA discrete GPU options. While neither is great regarding ports, the XPS 15 has one more USB-C than the XPS 13.

And beautiful to play on although of course if you are gaming youll want to drop to 1080p. But this also has a much beefier cooling.
The Dell XPS 16 (2024) is good for gaming, even though it isnt designed for gaming. Its Intel CPU and NVIDIA discrete GPU can deliver a relatively smooth gaming experience at 1080p or 1440p, though youll have to tweak the graphical settings a bit to get there, especially on models with an RTX 4050.
Different mostly in size Naturally, the XPS 13 has a 13.4-inch display, while the XPS 14 goes up to 14.5 inches and the XPS 16 comes at 16.3 inches diagonally. All three models have a 16:10 aspect ratio, which has been the case for a while with the XPS series.
