Cover Image to Surface The Emboss feature uses an external raster image file as a height map to create a raised or sunken effect. This is a single surface shape. Use the Emboss command to emboss the image into a surface. Select the surface. Set the offset value to -1mm, and width to 110mm Change the rotate angle and set a suitable resolution value. Lets check the surface. To see more clearly, we can modify the number of Iso-lines in the UV direction. Pick the face. Set the U Iso-line value and the V Iso-line value to 1000. Ok, it is displayed better now. The second case is a solid model. Quickly emboss a flower image into a face of it. Set the offset value and width value. Define the rotate angle and resolution. Lets check the result. The embossment is raised. Redefine this operation. Change the offset value to 1mm. Now the embossment is sunken. The last one is the helmet model.
