in this video Iamp;#39;m gonna show you how you can take a screenplay PDF and get it back into something thatamp;#39;s editable like final draft this is a pretty common situation where you have a screenplay PDF like this and youamp;#39;d like to move it in the final draft but you canamp;#39;t because final draft has no idea how to deal with the PDF so you have a couple options the first one of course is you could just retype the whole thing that has a lot of problems obviously you could introduce a lot of mistakes this is sort of the second choice and itamp;#39;s not great but it can work in some situations so letamp;#39;s take a look at this PDF it is just your basic PDF weamp;#39;re looking at this in preview and you can see that there are about 120 pages 114 pages and whatamp;#39;s good about this PDF is the text is actually selectable so itamp;#39;s not just a bunch of images you really can select the text and because of that you could actually select all the text and copy

Edit your existing headers and footers Double-click the header or footer you want to edit, or select Header or Footer, and then select Edit Header or Edit Footer. Add or change text for the header or footer or do any of the following: When youre done, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
Touch the chevron at the bottom right ..then from the menu select Header and Footer. The Header and Footer editing window will be displayed: To enter text, touch the Header editing field to display the blinking cursor and keyboard and then type in your text. and from there you can choose what data field(s) to insert.
If you need to change any of the attributes of any of the elements that comprise a script, go to Format Elements (Mac) or Format Element Settings (Windows). Here you will find controls and settings for each element (Scene Heading, Character Name, Dialogue, etc.).
To remove the title page from the PDF export, go to File Save As PDF and uncheck the Include Title Page box.
Click on footer. There is a tab at number 7, slide it spot that is between lines 4.2 and 4.3. If this doesnt work, keep adjusting it until it is in the center of the page.
Place your cursor in the Scene Heading and go to Production Omit Scene. This will place an Omitted notation onto the page.
Open the title page by clicking on the Title Page icon in the Ribbon (Windows) or the Toolbar (Mac) or choosing Document Title Page; Type your information in over the existing sample text; Go to File Close.
Insert a header or footer Go to Insert Header or Footer. Choose the header style you want to use. Add or change text for the header or footer. To eliminate a header--like deleting it on the title page--select it and then check the Different First Page box. Select Close Header and Footer or press Esc to exit.
