How to Write an Epitaph Start by reflecting. Decide the perspective of the epitaph. Determine the length. Make sure its timeless.
Short epitaphs, with their concise and heartfelt words, serve as lasting tributes on memorial headstones. These brief yet impactful phrases, like Beloved, Forever in our hearts, and Loving you always, are often etched in loving memory at the cemetery.
I shall quote his words because they will be his epitaph. When he talked about the bus going in this direction and that direction, his speech reminded me of the epitaph. Let that be his epitaph. What an epitaph that is.
Rest in peace is a common epitaph found on Western gravestones.
This could include things like: A list of their relationships with some of their loved ones (e.g. mother, daughter, friend) A few words about their life.
