You cannot create and edit MOBI files any more. Before the MOBI format was discontinued, authors were able to create and edit MOBI files in various eBook software like Calibre and Kindle Create. Today, if you want to edit an eBook that has been created in the MOBI format, you will first need to convert it.
Dont forget to save a copy as you go along! To change the cover of your book, go back to your calibre library. Right-click on the book. Then choose Edit metadata and Edit metadata individually. Edit the new title and author, and then click Generate Cover. (Make sure to click OK so you know its saved.)
How to update your cover Go to your Bookshelf. Next to the book you want to update, click the ellipsis button (). Choose Edit content. Scroll down to the Cover section. Choose Launch Cover Creator or Upload your cover file to update your cover or upload a cover you already have.
I suggest restarting your home network and Kindle together as follows: Unplug the power adapter on your router and modem for two minutes. Reconnect the power to your modem first.
Click the ellipsis button () under the Paperback or Hardcover Actions menu and then click Edit Paperback Content or Edit Hardcover Content. Scroll down to Book Cover and click Launch Cover Creator. On the Get images for your cover window, select From My Computer and upload your JPEG cover file and click Next.
