Check Box type of question asks participants to choose one or more answer options for each sub-question included. The multi-select Check Box Grid is perfect when you want to ask multiple related questions and allow participants to choose multiple answers from a consistent answer set.
Checkbox questions (also called tick-box questions or select-all-that-apply questions) provide multiple choice answer options where respondents can check all that apply.
How to add a Checkboxes question to your survey: Go to the Design survey section. From the Build section, choose Checkboxes. Enter the question and answer text. (Optional) Set up any additional options or settings. Click Save.
A set of Checkboxes allows the end-user to select more than one option, whereas Multiple Choice variables are used to collect a single option (value).
4 Classes of Survey Questions Open-Ended. If you could individually interview each survey respondent, youd probably ask a lot of open-ended questions. Closed-Ended (Static) Closed-Ended (Dynamic) Task/Activity Based.
Google Forms has two different types of grid field types: multiple choice grid and checkbox grid. Theyre very similar. The only difference is that the multiple choice grid limits respondents to only one answer per row, while the checkbox grid allows respondents to select more than one choice per row.
Multiple choice (multiple answer) questions allow respondents to select one or several answers from a list using tick boxes. You can restrict the number of answer options that can be selected or ask the respondent to select all that apply.
