hello everyone my name is laura wood iamp;#39;m an associate professor of pathology and oncology at johns hopkins university and today iamp;#39;m going to talk about pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and its variants i want to thank the pancreatic biliary pathology society as well as pathcast for the invitation to come and speak with you all today so there are several clinically important morphological variants of ductal adenocarcinoma that weamp;#39;ll discuss today but weamp;#39;ll start with the most common variant which is tubular or ductal carcinoma of the pancreas so weamp;#39;re going to start with kind of typical ductal adenocarcinoma which iamp;#39;ll sometimes refer throughout this presentation as pdac short for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma so the general morphological pattern of tubular carcinoma is a neoplastic glands and a fibrotic stroma and with this in mind the major histological differential diagnosis is chronic pancreatitis so to start with weamp;#39;ll talk
