And number two is that it can take a look at a column, and give you these statistics based on that column. 1. From the Data Menu Open the Google Sheet that you want to unprotect. Click on the Data menu. Select Protected sheets and ranges. In the Protected sheets and ranges sidebar, select the sheet or range that you want to unprotect. Click on the Delete icon. In the confirmation dialog, click on Remove.
To convert multiple cells to uppercase: Select the range of cells where you want the uppercase text to appear. In the first cell of the range, type =UPPER( . Click on the first cell containing the text you want to convert or type the cell reference. Close the parentheses and press Enter.
You wont get notifications when you make changes on your spreadsheet, but youll get notifications when others make changes. On your computer, open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Protect a sheet or range Open a spreadsheet in Google Sheets. Click Data. Protect sheets and ranges. Click Add a sheet or range or click an existing protection to edit it. To protect a range, click Range. To protect a sheet, click Sheet. Click Set permissions or Change permissions. Choose how you want to limit editing:
If the worksheet is protected, do the following: On the Review tab, select Unprotect Sheet (in the Protect group). Select Protect Sheet to change to Unprotect Sheet when a worksheet is protected. If prompted, enter the password to unprotect the worksheet.
Select which one you wish to unlock and click on the trash bin icon beside the Enter a description field. Google Sheets will display a prompt asking if you want to remove the protected range and allow editing access to other users. Click on the Remove button, and this will unlock the cell, range, or sheet you locked.
How to Unlock Cells Right-click on the cells you want to unlock. In your Google Sheet, right-click on the cell you need to unlock. Hover over View more cell actions. Select Protect range. Click on the locked cell. Click the trashcan icon. Select Remove.
Remove protection In a Google Sheet, click Data. Protect Sheets and ranges. On the right panel that appears, to view all of the ranges with protections, click Cancel. Find protection you want to delete. Click delete .
In cell B2, type =PROPER(A2), then press Enter. This formula converts the name in cell A2 from uppercase to proper case. To convert the text to lowercase, type =LOWER(A2) instead. Use =UPPER(A2) in cases where you need to convert text to uppercase, replacing A2 with the appropriate cell reference.
