The Background Eraser Tool is found nested under the regular Eraser Tool in the Tools panel. With the Background Eraser selected, your mouse cursor will change into a circle with a small crosshair in the center of it: The Background Erasers cursor is made up of a simple circle with a crosshair in the middle.
In the Layers panel, click the Properties panel and then click the Remove Background button. This quick action removes the background and leaves the layer with a mask around the subject.
Remove background with Quick Actions in Photoshop In the Discover panel, navigate to the Browse Quick Actions and select Remove background. Click the Apply button to remove the background from your photo and have them ready to use in your composites.
From the Output Settings, choose Layer Mask from the dropdown menu and press OK. Photoshop will remove the background from this image using a Layer Mask. Layer Masks are non-destructive way to hide or reveal content. The Selected Mask Workspace can also edit a Layer Mask.
To fill a layer with a different color, you can press Alt + Backspace on Windows or Option + Delete on Mac to fill with the current foreground color. To fill with the background color, press Ctrl + Backspace on Windows or Command + Delete on Mac.
In the Layers palette that appears on the right side of your image, click the eye icon to hide the background layer. Remove it: In the Properties panel, click Quick Actions Remove Background.
