The most common reason for images displaying as attachments is that some messages are sent in a plain text format instead of HTML format.
Drag-and-drop embedding Email providers, like Gmail, allow you to drag an image from a folder and drop it into an area inside the compose box that says attach files here. Gmail will automatically embed the image and realign it so its in line with the rest of the plain text.
From the MAIL app, do not use the Insert Photo option, as that will insert inline with the message. Instead, scroll to the right and choose the Add Attachment option. With this option, you can send photos or any other file type as a true attachment.
Attachments always appear above the body of your message, but you can insert pictures inline anywhere in your message. Inserted images dont need to be downloaded to be seen by the recipient. Select Insert, then Pictures and choose the file you want to insert and select Open.
Position your cursor where you want the image in your message. In the ribbon, select Insert Pictures. Browse your computer or online file locations for the picture you want to insert. Select the picture, then select Insert.
Select the image and right-click on it and select the Save as Picture option. Now in the File Save wizard, select the location, specify the File name, and select Save as type to save the image. Click on the Save button.
