Definition of a signature and a countersignature: A signature is a persons name written in their own handwriting, used to attest to the validity of a document. A countersignature is a second signature added to a document that has already been signed, serving as an additional endorsement of the documents authenticity.
Open a PDF in Acrobat and choose All Tools more Use a certificate in the global bar. Alternatively, from Acrobat Home, select See all tools. In the Protect section, select Use a certificate, and then select a file you want to docHub.
A countersignature is an extra signature that is added to a contract or other document that has already been signed. The countersignature serves to authenticate the document, or in the case of a check, to deposit or cash it.
