hi im tessa from tales from outside the classroom and today im going to show you a simple system for tracking student data in google sheets so first up i have a blank google sheet up you can do the same thing in excel in my part 2 video im going to show you some ideas for putting this data together that might be helpful and so for that reason im using google sheets because it works a little bit better in my opinion for trying to compile information across several sheets and more specifically for educators i think its a little bit easier to share with parents that way so were going to start off with a blank google sheet now uh the first column i always use for name you might choose to put a student id number or some other demographically specific information here you dont have to um do that you can just keep it name especially if this is just for you sometimes you can choose to put one column for first name one column for last name you can choose to put them together in my opini
