[Music] [Music] now back in november 2019 through to january 2020 i had my very first exhibition for my world war ii veterans portraits project the portraits on display were printed at around about 20 inches on the longest edge and so many people commented that the portraits looked as though they were coming forward of the paper and if you docHubed out you could touch the faces now that was largely down to a technique in photoshop that i call 2010 and in this video i want to show you exactly how its done [Music] now before i show you the technique let me just explain the idea behind it and why it works so well when we look at photographs even though theyre printed on a flat piece of paper we know that what were looking at isnt flat and two-dimensional in real life you see when we look at a picture and you have light and dark areas as a general rule of thumb the lighter areas appear closer and the darker areas appear further back this is what gives it depth and dimension for example

Portrait orientation is the one in which the longer sides of the rectangle are vertical. Its named this way because this is generally the orientation that people choose when taking a portrait, or a photograph of a person.
Portrait photography often uses a vertical orientation to capture an entire person or subject, or to place emphasis on a subject, as in a close-up head-and-shoulders headshot. Photos are taller than they are wide in portrait orientation. By default, smartphones display in portrait orientation.
Change the orientation for specific pages Select all the text on the pages you want to change. On the Format menu, select Document. Select Page Setup at the bottom of the dialog box. Next to Orientation, choose the orientation you want, and then select OK. Next to Apply to, choose Selected text, and then select OK.
The main difference between landscape and portrait orientation is how the camera is held when taking the photo. Landscape orientation is when the camera is held horizontally, while portrait orientation is when the camera is held vertically.
When you are deciding how to frame a picture, you use a vertical or portrait orientation for things like portraits and other vertically-oriented subjects. And you use a horizontal or landscape orientation for horizontal subjects, like a landscape.
A Portrait orientation refers to a book that has a width dimension smaller than its height dimension (see Diagram A). For example, books that measure 8.5 wide x 11 high or 6 wide x 9 high are examples of the Portrait format.
Open the spreadsheet, tap the spreadsheets name in the toolbar, then tap Print. To set the orientation, tap Portrait or Landscape. If necessary, drag the slider at the bottom of the screen to adjust the scale.
