all right today we have a quick video I just recently got a switch and I have been interested in the fact that that is an HDMI dock there and surprisingly I couldnt find anyone else who had just stuck a type-c phone into a switch dock to see what would happen so were gonna try that out and see how it goes okay pulling out switch not easy to line there we go starting to charge stopping charging and looks like the docks not happy yep now lets see what happens if we put the switch back in nothing the dock is very unhappy Im gonna go ahead and plug power plug it back in and there we go all better so that answers the question no an android phone will not work in the switch dock the only real instances I could find if anyone else asking this were on XDA I think theres one on the Android forums and one on reddit and no one had any good answers one person thought it would just fry the phone others on XDA were just irritated I think but thats typical for XDA so yeah that doesnt make a
