hi and welcome to this tip here Im going to show you how to bring in the current time into Excel including up to the hour the minute and even the second now if youd like to get this workbook go to teach excel com search for this video tutorial and you can download the workbook there so anyway I talked about the today function before and the equals today function will do something like that itll give you the date and if you want to format it simply right click format cells and you can format on the number tab now Ill go over this a little bit slower when we get to the things Im going to talk about in this tip but thats what I showed you in a previous tip how to do that now here I also want the time I dont just want the date so how to get the time is very simply equals now open closed parenthesis so let me type that in right here now didnt come up correctly because its a different format since I entered a formula in this before now so let me go ahead and delete this row and redo
