What is the shortcut for spell check on Google Docs? If you dont want to click around the screen to do a spell check every time you need it, you can use a keyboard shortcut. Its the combination of three buttons: Ctrl + Alt + X.

Enabling Autocorrect in Google Docs Simply go to Tools Preferences on the main toolbar. This will open a new window where you can click Substitutions to access the autocorrect options in Google Docs (see image below for reference). Enable Spell Check Click on Tools in the menu and under Spelling and grammar, enable Show spelling suggestions and Show grammar suggestions. You will notice that there is a Ctrl+Alt+X shortcut that will do an automatic spell and grammar check. Try that as well.
