so in continuing with our distributional fullness were going to talk about what if we had a waste panel here at the center front where we wanted fullness radiating around it that this was a flat panel maybe a shaped rounded panel at the front and all the fullness to come and its a zipper in the back garments for example so right away knowing that from this style line i need to get rid of my waist dart if i want this waist panel to be here so i can pivot that waste panel into the armhole and we can use that armhole dart then to close out and create fullness around it so i would first close my waist dart create a bodice that only had an armhole dart and then im going to create my style line whatever this waist panel is going to be maybe i want it to be three inches from the center front remember i need to have my control notches 5 8 at least from the bottom hem i need um and then im going gonna make a nice round maybe i want this height we want this to come right to the eight above

What does 45 and 60 mean on a sewing pattern? When you see the numbers 45 and 60 on the cover page, these numbers indicate the width of the fabric. Depending on the fabric mill and content, some fabrics come in 45 inch widths while others are 60 inches wide.
The 60 x 60 means there are 60 threads going horizontally and 60 threads going vertically to form a solid weave. Generally speaking the more threads the better quality or softer the fabric.
The way to determine pattern size is to take accurate body measurements, then compare them with the standards. The illustrations and charts on the following pages will take you, step by step, through this process. In some cases, your pattern size may be one or two sizes larger than your ready-to-wear size.
