When referencing exhibits in a document, its common to use a numbering system (e.g., Exhibit 1, Exhibit 2) along with clear labels or titles for each exhibit. You can then mention the exhibit number and title in the text where its relevant.
Things You Should Know Select a name thats relevant to the artwork in the exhibit. Pick a name thats easy to read and understand. Choose a bold name if you want to stand out from the crowd. Go with a two-part name for a traditional approach that looks professional.
Writing Your Exhibition Description Include the Big Idea The big idea of your exhibition answers the question What is this exhibition about?. Dont Repeat Your Bio. Avoid Artspeak Dont dumb it down too much. Keep the structure short and simple.
The exhibit list shall contain all exhibits that the parties intend to offer for admission into evidence. Those exhibits should be appropriately labeled as Plaintiffs or Defendants exhibits, e.g., PX-1, DX-1. Any exhibits that have been produced by bates number must also include the bates number.
Marking exhibits: Each exhibit should be marked with an exhibit sticker or label for identification. Typically, exhibits are sequentially numbered (Exhibit 1, Exhibit 2, etc.) or lettered (Exhibit A, Exhibit B, etc.).
Each exhibit must be marked with an abbreviated designation for the party offering the exhibit (followed by the abbreviation Ex. for exhibit).
The plaintiffs exhibits are traditionally numbered (Exhibit 1), while the defendants exhibits are lettered (Exhibit A). Your court may want you to label your own exhibits as you introduce them or the court may prefer that the court clerk labels the exhibits instead.
An exhibit is an item that is shown off for the public, such as a painting on display at a gallery or a historical document shown under glass at a museum. The main thing to remember about an exhibit is that it refers to something presented formally and in a public setting.
