A defined-benefit pension plan requires an employer to make annual contributions to an employees retirement account. Plan administrators hire an actuary to calculate the future benefits that the plan must pay an employee and the amount that the employer must contribute to provide those benefits.
It is best to use two words and the word Trust (e.g. Main Street Trust). Your may also include the word retirement in the name. Also, if your business name contains the words investment, land, living or family, then make sure to include the words Retirement Trust when naming the solo 401k plan.
Defined Benefit Plans generally require the employer to make annual contributions. The amount required is equal to the value of benefit increases for the year plus a 15-year amortization of any unfunded liabilities. If the Plan is overfunded, there is no amortization.
