Welcome everyone, this is my day, not Geszti+s. I was also preparing for what promises to be an interesting discussion today. But before we get into that, I encourage and urge you to continue subscribing to our channel on both YouTube and Facebook. At the same time, I thank you that especially in the last month, since we posted the two episodes of Airport Stories, whose resounding success I myself am a little amazed at, without pretending, we have seen a massive increase in subscribers. Nothings easier than subscribing to us, just type in Friderikusz Podcast on youtube.com. When you click on any of our programmes that appear, you will find a Subscribe button slightly to the left of the screen, which you should click on, as well as a small bell icon next to it, so that you will be notified whenever new content is added to our platform. The procedure is similar for Facebook, where you also have to go to the Friderikusz Podcast page and click on the Follow button. And then lets qu

The bipolar encoding scheme defines three voltage methods: positive, negative, and zero. In the Bipolar encoding scheme, zero levels define binary 0, and binary 1 is described by rotating positive and negative voltages.
Types of Line Coding Unipolar. Polar. Bi-polar.
The advantages of bipolar AMI are: Easy to implement. Same signalling rate as other NRZ schemes. Uses less power than polar NRZ line coding schemes.
This is an encoding technique which has three voltage levels namely +, - and 0. Such a signal is called as duo-binary signal. An example of this type is Alternate Mark Inversion AMI. For a 1, the voltage level gets a transition from + to – or from – to +, having alternate 1s to be of equal polarity.
In telecommunication, bipolar encoding is a type of return-to-zero (RZ) line code, where two nonzero values are used, so that the three values are +, −, and zero. Such a signal is called a duobinary signal. Standard bipolar encodings are designed to be DC-balanced, spending equal amounts of time in the + and − states.
AMI (Alternate Mark Inversion) is a synchronous clock encoding technique that uses bipolar pulses to represent logical 1. The next logic 1 is represented by a pulse of the opposite polarity. Hence a sequence of logical 1s are represented by a sequence of pulses of alternating polarity.
One kind of bipolar encoding is a paired disparity code, of which the simplest example is alternate mark inversion. In this code, a binary 0 is encoded as zero volts, as in unipolar encoding, whereas a binary 1 is encoded alternately as a positive voltage or a negative voltage.
The process of converting binary data into a sequence of bits of the digital signal is known as Line coding. It is also known as digital PAM formats.
In the case of a bipolar scheme, we have three voltages: negative, positive, and zero. Here, the voltage level is zero for one data element. While for the other element, the voltage level alternates between negative and positive.
Unipolar RZ There is also a return-to-zero (RZ) version of unipolar line coding in which the logic high (binary one) signal voltage returns to zero half way through the bit time. The advantages of unipolar RZ are: Simple to implement. The additional transitions can help to maintain synchronisation.
