How to Correct guide in raw

Years ago when I first got into digital raw photography, my photo editing process was.. well, pretty much non-existent. I would open a raw image in Lightroom, I would scroll through the Develop panel, and I would move sliders left and right without really understanding what I should be doing and in what order in order to create a photograph out of the gray, dull, RAW image that I saw in front of me. After plenty of failed attempts, I realized that my process or lack thereof needed structure. A series of steps, each with its own clearly defined goal, so that anytime I would sit down to edit a photo, I would know where to start, where I was going next, and where I would ultimately finish. So today Im going to share with you my own 10 step RAW photo processing framework. It sounds rather official butits really not. These are simply the steps which work best for me and the way that I approach photo processing. By the way the focus of this video will be on the framework itself, so

On the left side of the dialog, right-click a thumbnail and choose Select All; right-click again and choose Sync Settings. In the dialog, choose Lens Corrections from the menu, check only Transform and Lens Vignetting, then click OK. Camera Raw will analyze and correct each photo separately (see also page 94).
Its because of the extended dynamic range contained within them. Dynamic range is the amount of tonal range detail in the shot. That means the detail in the darkest shadows or brightest highlights. Because the RAW photo retains much more of this detail, the images look dull, almost grey, before editing.
The Transform tool in Camera RAW gives you lots of control over how you want to fix the perspective distortions of your photos to create greater compositions. To fix perspective distortions, start the process by right-clicking on the layer and selecting Convert to Smart Object so you can work non-destructively.
RAW RAW files are unprocessed and un-compressed data files that contain all of the image information available to the camera sensor. Because RAW files are unprocessed, they come out looking flat and dark, as you can see above.
Make sure to load RAW files in an app that can definitely read RAW, such as Darkroom. Unfortunately, when an app doesnt understand how to read a RAW file, the system will instead display a low-resolution thumbnail image.
How to process raw images (steps 1-6) 01 Adjust the exposure. Open your raw file. 02 Tweak the contrast. For a healthy range of tones from black shadows through to bright highlights, drag Blacks to 10. 03 Colour and detail. 04 Add a graduated filter. 05 Draw a gradient. 06 Selective adjustment. RAW captures more information and tries to maximise the Dynamic Range in the pictures. This may lead to them looking a bit dull, less saturated/vibrant and have low contrast between high and lows.
Still, most professional photographers shoot in RAW because it gives them more information to work with in the post-processing phase.
